Before Treatment

  • Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and blood-thinning supplements (vitamin E, fish oil, ginkgo, etc.) for 24–48 hours before treatment to reduce bruising risk.
  • Postpone if unwell or if you have an active skin infection, cold sore, or irritation in the treatment area.
  • Avoid dental work, facials, peels, or laser treatments for at least 2 weeks prior.
  • Arrive with clean skin – no makeup, creams, or oils on the treatment area.
  • Inform your doctor of any medical conditions, medications, or recent treatments.

After Treatment

  • Mild swelling, redness, or small bumps at the injection points are normal and usually settle within 24–72 hours.
  • Do not touch, rub, or massage the treated area for at least 24 hours (unless advised by your doctor).
  • Avoid makeup for 12 hours and skip skincare with retinol, acids, or harsh actives for 3–5 days.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, heat exposure, saunas, and alcohol for 24–48 hours.
  • Protect your skin with SPF 30+ daily, as UV can break down hyaluronic acid faster. Stay hydrated – drinking plenty of water helps maximise results.

Important Notes

  • A course of 2–3 sessions is often recommended, spaced 2–4 weeks apart, for optimal results.
  • Results improve gradually, with smoother, more radiant skin developing over several weeks.
  • Maintenance treatments are usually advised every 6–9 months.
