Controlled Microchannels, Gradual Skin Renewal
Microneedling uses very fine needles to create controlled microchannels in the skin. This controlled stimulation is intended to encourage the skin’s natural repair processes, which may improve the appearance of texture, tone and fine lines over a course of treatments.
At Tanuva Aesthetics, microneedling may be performed on its own or combined with other treatments, such as PRP prepared from your own blood, a suitable liquid PRF preparation, or exosome products applied according to their protocol.

Every treatment begins with a consultation with our doctor-led team.
How It Works
A sterile cartridge of fine needles passes over the skin at a depth selected for the area being treated and your individual assessment. This creates a controlled pattern of microchannels across the surface.
The skin responds to this controlled stimulus through its natural repair process, which develops gradually in the weeks afterwards. Because the channels are open immediately after treatment, this is also the point at which products such as PRP or exosome preparations may be applied as part of your plan.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about microneedling. Your suitability and the most appropriate depth and combination are confirmed at consultation.
How many sessions will I need?
Microneedling is usually planned as a course, with sessions spaced several weeks apart to allow the skin to recover between treatments. The number depends on your concern and your response, and is agreed at consultation.
Can it be combined with PRP or exosomes?
Yes. Microneedling is often combined with PRP prepared from your own blood, or with exosome products used according to their protocol. Whether a combination is right for you depends on your assessment and treatment plan.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream is applied beforehand and most clients find the treatment comfortable. You may feel vibration and some pressure, and bonier areas such as the forehead can feel more intense.
How much downtime should I expect?
Most clients have redness and warmth for a day or two, sometimes with light flaking afterwards. Many plan treatment when they have a quiet day or two, and we can advise on timing around events.
Can it treat scarring?
Microneedling may help improve the appearance of certain types of scarring, but not all scars respond in the same way. We assess the scarring at consultation and explain what is realistic.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
Microneedling can be used across a range of skin types, but active skin infection, certain skin conditions, some medications and pregnancy may mean it is not appropriate. This is checked at consultation.
